Feedback on 2011 ski trips, Austria OBERTILLIACH
It was fantastic! Especially the race. The format of the trip was great, I really enjoyed have the tuition in the mornings and then skiing more in the afternoons all leading up to the race. The group was good too - it was nice to have a range of experience throughout the group and didn't seem to matter that there were people with way more experience than me. Shall be back next year to beat my time! JD
It was tremendous fun. Many thanks for organising that trip. I learnt so much and I'm full of good resolutions, how to try to get better so that I might join the marathon next year. One is to come along tomorrow to join you and Katya in Richmond. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow, might not be able to stop bubbling on about the fantastic trip. RH
The training and race support from Alan and Mary the trip was faultless. I really enjoyed my time there and feel I benefited yet again from Alan's great coaching. CB
Each day's activities made the most of the conditions which were variable and Alan's progressive instruction ensured our skills impoved rapidly. His instruction style was relaxed and focused on each individual's needs which I certainly found really good. Breaks were well timed ensuring that we could ski the full day. Tuition on waxing was brilliant and Alan always seemed to be able to get the most out our skis in what were variable conditions. I hadn't appreciated the importance of waxing so this was totally new to me.
Everyone in the group was really friendly and helpful with tips and ideas especially when it came to the races at the end of the week.
The race days were excellent, the superb weather making it a fantastic weekend. Again the support of Alan and the group helped enormously.
Overall a great week that I will most certainly sign up for next year if it's run. HW I had a great time on the Obertilliach trip. I thought your instruction was excellent and I felt my skating improved. I just wish I was a bit fitter. The villlage and trails are great - the only difficulty is getting there easily. RN It was excellent!!!!!!!!!! I've arrived back in the UK, utterly shattered (but I did redeem myself in the skate race) and the only thing between me and going to bed is taking a ski bag on a rush hour train... Joy! FB
HOCHFILZEN
Overall I thought the trip was great and really well organised with really good coaching. Really enjoyed the morning shooting - definitely the highlight for me :) Self-catering woked out well. CH We really enjoyed the trip, the teaching was excellent from all the instructors & we learned a lot.
Work & fitness allowing, we would definitely join another trip & are determined to do some roller skiing through the summer. The format of the trip was excellent, with the race at the end & that would be the format that we would like to do again. When we got back we looked up the World Loppett series & tentatively decided we would aim to do the race in Australia in August 2012 (we'd need to start saving). Based on the date of the race this year, it looks like it wouldn't clash with the Olympics in London. CA We got back from the Hochfilzen trip yesterday and I just wanted to let you know we had a really great time. The instruction we got was the best we have ever had. We felt we learned a lot and had some fun with a nice group of people at the same time. DB Just wanted to say thanks for your part in putting together and organising the Hochfilzen trip last week - it was absolutely fantastic, and we really enjoyed it. The race at the end was an amazing experience, great fun! LG It was an excellent trip - Alan does a good job. RR
