Paddy Field is a former international athlete and coach, who has spent the last 30 years skiing cross-country around the world. As a Technical Delegate for FIS, he has overseen the development of ski marathon racing across the world. He has been Nordic Director of the British Ski & Snowboard Federation, and since 1993 has been editor of SKI NORDIC, the UK's most popular cross-country ski magazine.

Stuart Montgomery has a background in hillwalking and came to cross-country skiing in the late 1970s. With extensive experience of mountain touring, track skiing and racing, he has also been involved in the development of the cross-country ski holiday industry in the UK. A pioneer of the sport of Nordic Walking in the UK, he is one of its leading instructors.
