Rollerboard training

I was asked the other day where to get hold of a rollerboard for cross country ski training. Coincidentally I'd just come back from my our instructor Andy's house in Northern Ireland where I'd had a go training on his home made contraption which proved extremely effective (he calls it his 'flying machine').

I had a look on the internet but couldn't find anywhere you could buy one, then by chance came across a friend's 'Total Gym'. This device will do the trick. You can pick them up for under £100.

(Alternatively you could just do tricep dips).

Contraption indeed!!! Huh.

I'll have you know young man, that my roller board is a piece of high precision cabinet work, made to the highest British health and safety standards. It has been on the go for nearly 20 years and has 'flown' me twice round the world at least. It also keeps me fit and healthy. My very good wife, has on occasions, placed on the wall at the top of the
machine a picture of some scantily dressed maiden in a provocative pose in order to provide greater motivation to slide up and down the board.
It works a treat!

By the way I would like to mention to one and all, that roller skiing and roller boarding, if carried out on a regular basis, provides invaluable preparation for a skiing trip and will add up to the equivalent of weeks on snow prior to your trip. If you want to get ahead, get roller skiing and boarding, (but don't forget the motivator - it could be a hunk for the ladies)
