Cross-country news - 28/9/5 Skating skiing is renowned for being a bit faster and a bit newer than classic skiing, but not what you might call an 'extreme' sport, in the same sense as BMXing or skateboarding. Now ski manufacturer Fischer has come up with the 'jib skate', an extrordinary attempt to market nordic skiing to the 'yoof' market. We know nothing more than what Fischer have put up on their website, and it will be interesting to follow the development of this new type of skiing. It is bound to be big in America if nowhere else...
