Snowsport England rollerski instructor Rupert Butcher is requesting expressions of interest in setting up a new nordic skiing and biathlon club for the South West of England. Provisionally named the 'Wessex Biathlon and Nordic Ski Club', the club would provide a centre for the development of cross-country skiing and biathlon in the region. Rollerski training and racing would take place at suitable local venues, with biathlon (shooting) practice taking place at Budleigh Farm near Exeter. It is hoped that the club would bring together skiers and biathletes from all backgrounds. Anyone interested should send an email to Rupert (rupert@suttonend.fsnet.co.uk), giving their address.
