Nordic Fitness - rollerskiing with other nordic activities

A new company has been set up with the aim of integrating rollerskiing into personal training programmes alongside other nordic disciplines, such as nordic walking and nordic blading.

Nordic Fitness, whose slogan is 'Being fit is good; being 'Nordic Fit' is better!' will be calling upon us to help their clients get into rollerskiing in London.

They aim to promote fitness through combining rollerskiing and various other 'nordic activities'. Nordic walking is an activity which is surprisingly good for you as an alternative to jogging. Although it has something of an 'old biddy' image, it is actually very useful to staying in shape, as it has a lower impact on your knees than walking, and also gets your heartrate up. It has proven extremely popular in continental Europe, with some life insurance companies giving lower premiums to those who enroll on nordic walking classes.

Nordic blading has been promoted recently in continental Europe and America, but has yet to prove popular in the UK. You can get limited cross-country skiing benefits from nordic blading (essentially inline skating with poles), which Nordic-Fitness's instructor Heathley Clarke will explain.
